Introduction to earthing design

Effective earthing system design is critical to the safety of a high-voltage installation and its surroundings. Developments in national standards and the raised awareness of network operators have resulted in a renewed focus on this important subject. Our new one-day course provides an overview of the earthing design process from start to finish, including the supporting site measurements.

On completion of the course, each delegate will benefit from a greater awareness of the key design factors and pitfalls and be able to better understand earthing design reports and specifications. The course introduces basic earthing concepts and sets the scene in terms of the applicable standard requirements. The delegate is then led through the steps involved in a typical earthing design process. Throughout the course, theoretical aspects are reinforced by practical examples and real-life case studies, with the opportunity to interact with our experienced presenters.
