People Who Make It Happen

ChrisBusiness Development Director

I love the fast pace. It’s a fertile development ground and I am encouraged to generate ideas, knowing they will be objectively reviewed and the better ones implemented. There is a unique spirit within the company and a great deal of knowledge, so challenges and issues are never unresolved. Talking with clients is rewarding as we’re usually helping them solve something critical to maintaining or improving their business.

DaisySenior Training Consultant

I joined Edif ERA in 2013 and instantly felt at home; it’s a really friendly company with a relaxed but very professional working environment. My background and experience in military training and education has helped in some really challenging and interesting research projects over the last couple of years. I enjoy the fact that there’s always something different; we do a lot of work with Defence and with transport and energy sectors, providing plenty of opportunities to broaden my horizons.

MikeSenior Consultant

What I love about Edif ERA is the variety of different projects and tasks I have been able to work on since I joined. It is literally planes, trains and automobiles, oh and let’s not forget the ships too.  Transferable skills are definitely key in a company like ours and I have been encouraged to push beyond the limits of my knowledge and expertise, taking on projects which I would not normally have considered I could be suitable for.

AlfPrincipal Consultant

Managing and working in the Modelling and Simulation team at Edif ERA has provided a variety of tasks from operational analysis studies to financial investment appraisals, also providing close interactions across multiple services in and outside Edif ERA. The knowledge that your work is being used for strategic decision making is possibly the most rewarding element of working here.

LuisGraduate Power Systems Engineer

Becoming a Power Systems engineer has been my ambition since I first understood how electricity is generated and transported in order to keep the lights on at all times. Among many other exciting challenges, working at Edif ERA allows me to help energy companies decarbonise the grid and meet the future electricity demand by performing connection studies for renewable energy installations.

AnGraduate Power Systems Engineer

My academic background in Electrical and Power Engineering and strong interest in the principles and issues of power systems inspired me to start my career with Edif ERA. As a graduate in the Power Systems team, I have been involved in projects relating to harmonics and inrush current studies; finding out why these issues occur how to fix them has been great.

When I joined, I was allocated a buddy who helped me settle in and feel at home, and my team leader provides me with regular guidance and project support. I also have a technical mentor who guides me through my professional development. I like the variety of work and the responsibility I am given. I have had opportunities to work in the Middle East and am learning and acquiring new skills all the time.

JoeElectrical Engineer

Edif ERA provides an engaging work environment in which I can undertake a varying range of projects, which keeps things interesting. The people I work with are very friendly and willing to help in all situations. In addition, the company offers a structured route for career progression and achieving Chartered Engineer status, one of my main goals.

BenSenior Electrical Engineer

I have had exposure to an incredible variety of work, and this an overriding factor in my development. Throughout my degree, I covered a wide range of theoretical work, but when you see it in practice, work on projects and have growing exposure to the project management side of things, you find yourself carrying out the technical tasks more independently and developing as a result.

AndrewPower Systems Engineer

I joined Edif ERA in September 2013 after completing a BEng in Electrical Engineering. There are plenty of opportunities here to gain hands-on experience. I have been involved in ‘real’ projects that have allowed me to rapidly acquire the skills and knowledge I need to become a professional engineer. I am kept engaged with interesting work and made to feel a valued employee.
